Identification based size and distribution of suckers on the tentacle club. Suckers in the middle region of the club are approx. three or four times the diameter than those that occur on the outer margin of the club. Loligo forbesii has suckers in the middle of the tentacle club that are less than twice the diameter of the marginal suckers.
