Copepod above is an ectoparasite (a parasite found outside the body), found on the nudibranch Polycera quadrilineata, on a pontoon at Newlyn Marina, Newlyn, Cornwall, 12.08.15.

It appears that many ecto- and endo- parasitic copepods of nudibranchs are undescribed. I have been able to report the possible genus here thanks to the kind advice I have received from Daisuke Uyeno PhD, Assistant professor, Kagoshima University, Kagoshima, Japan.

The main objective of this website is in furthering environmental awareness and education through the medium of photography. To increase awareness and access to the wildlife of the region and help
people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
