Numerous specimens found in pseudogalls that are caused by the aphid when on its foodplant. Here the foodplant is Atriplex glabruiscula, Babbington's Orache, a reasonably common plant on some beaches. Specimens found just above the high spring tide line at Chyandour, Penzance, Cornwall. 11.09.16.
The species is not restricted to beaches it can also be found inland on Chenopodium and Atriplex species.
