Images of a timed surveys of three intertidal three pools at Albert Pier reef, Penzance, Cornwall; a site that might be affected by silt from the dredging of Penzance Harbour. Also images of survey conducted at three pools at a control site at Great Hogus reef, Marazion; a site unaffected by the dredging of Penzance Harbour. Pools chosen at Great Hogus and Albert Pier reef because of the similarity of habitat and shore level.

Four species of stalked jellyfish are protected by law in England and elsewhere in the UK because of a severe decline in their numbers.

The main objective of this website is in furthering environmental awareness and education through the medium of photography. To increase awareness and access to the wildlife of the region and help
people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
