I am not aware this species has been found on a beach in the UK, but the seeds are used in making rosaries and are sold as such in the UK. There's a chance the species may be found on beaches here not from drift but as a holed seed.

The seeds of this species are
HIGHLY TOXIC

Specimen photographed was originally collected in the Dominican Republic, West Indies. Images taken 27.02.16.

The main objective of this website is in furthering environmental awareness and education through the medium of photography. To increase awareness and access to the wildlife of the region and help
people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
