Specimen above was found egg laying under a rock on the lowershore, on the rocky shore south of Newlyn Harbour, Newlyn, Cornwall. 07.09.13.

The shore above is very good habitat for the Shore clingfish or as it's sometimes called the Cornish Sucker. Calma glaucoides is frequently found eating the eggs of this species.

Thanks to João Pedro Silva for confirming the species found on 07.09.13.

The main objective of this website is in furthering environmental awareness and education through the medium of photography. To increase awareness and access to the wildlife of the region and help
people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
