The species was found on Himanthalia elongata, Thong Weed at Skilly near Newlyn, Cornwall, 18.08.11. Species also found on Thong Weed at Battery Rocks, Penzance, Cornwall, 26.10.14.

The species is a common epiphyte of Thong Weed.
