Many specimens were found on the lowershore, growing on stones in pools, on west side of Lariggan Rocks, Penzance, Cornwall, 26.05.16.

I've arrived at this identification on looking in various books and I'm still uncertain, so the identification needs to be confirmed. There are numerous species that are similar to this one.
