This bryozoan is a NW Atlantic species, it was found on a Stone crab trap that had probably drifted from the coast of Florida, USA; and to the Lesceave end of Praa Sands, near Helston, Cornwall. SW852227590. 10.11.15.

The old name of the genus is Antropora. Here I'd like to thank Leandro Vieira and Kevin Tilbrook for their help in identifying the species.

The Floridan bivalves Isognomon bicolor and Chama congregata were also found on the same stone crab trap.

The main objective of this website is in furthering environmental awareness and education through the medium of photography. To increase awareness and access to the wildlife of the region and help
people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
