Juveniles above were found in a sample of crisiid bryozoan turf collected from a north facing gulley on the extreme lowershore at Swanpool, Falmouth. 09.04.16.

The octopus pot was found and retrieved by Tracey Williams on the north coast of Cornwall at Perran Sands, 13.11.16. Embryos were looked at under a microscope and were found to be Sepiola atlantica. Identification based on the appearance of 5mm juveniles, as featured above. After identifying the egg laying species the octopot was placed in a secure spot under a ledge on the lowershore so the eggs could continue deleoping.
