Specimen above was found on the exterior of the tube of a Parchment worm, Chaetopterus variopedatus, which was found on the side of a pontoon at Newlyn Marina, Newlyn, Cornwall. 08.06.15.

Specimen above was found on the test of a Dirty sea squirt at Newlyn Marina, Newlyn, Cornwall. 14.10.14.
The species involved here was found on looking at samples under the microscope, it can barely be seen with the naked eye. Sessile ciliates may also be found on bryozoans, algae, shells, etc..
On looking closely at material the species here might be the ciliate Atriofolliculina andrewsi Hadzi, 1951, if it is synonymous with Folliculinopsis andrewsi. Cases were about 650um in overall length, ampulla 250um x 160um, and tube 400um x 85um.
