Specimen above found on the red algae known as Red Tongue Weed, Apoglossum ruscifolium, which was found on the side of a pontoon at a marina in Falmouth, Cornwall. 30.06.15.

The species involved here was found on looking at samples under the microscope, it can barely be seen with the naked eye. Sessile ciliates may also be found on bryozoans, worms, worm tubes, sea squirts, shells, etc..
