Rosalina williamsoni here displayed was in sand collected by Adrian Brokenshire at an unknown location at Carrick Roads, Falmouth, Cornwall, collection date unknown. The identification is based upon "Cushman, J., A., 1931: The Foraminifera of the Atlantic Ocean. Part 8. Rotaliidae, Amphisteginidae, Calcarinidae, Cymbaloporettidae, Globorotaliidae, Anomalinidae, Planorbulinidae, Rupertiidae and Homotremidae. Smithsonian Institution United States National Museum Bulletin 104. Plate 6, Fig. 1", the species has not been verified.

In Cornwall this species was found by Edward Heron-Allen FRS in August 1913 at St. Mawes, Falmouth, and in 1916 he found the species in south Cornwall. He reports the species as being 'univerally distributed' according to the noted attached to the 1916 record. All records as Discorbis nitida.
