APHOTOMARINE

All images taken on the 16th Feburary 2014 in bay between Wherry Rocks and Lariggan Rocks at Wherry Town, Penzance, Cornwall. SW46895 29475 and SW46901 29484. North-western edge of Wherry Rocks.

Images taken shortly after a violent storm that washed away the beach. The last time this submerged forest was exposed at Wherry Town was about 40 years ago, there are also Victorian accounts for the forest. The submerged forest here is approximately 3,500 years old.
