The hydroid Podocoryna carnea was found on nearly every Tritia reticulata, Netted Dog Whelk that was found in sand samples taken from a sand encroached part of the reef just below low water neap tide level. Albert Pier reef, Penzance, Cornwall, 19.06.20.

Podocoryna carnea, Smoothspined snailfur was found amongst Spirorbis (Spirorbis) tridentatus, a Spiral tubeworm; on Xantho hydrophilus, Montagu crab, legs and ventral side; at Chimney Rocks, Penzance, Cornwall, 22.03.16.
