The acrochaetioid algae above was found growing epiphytically on a blade of Zostera marina, Eelgrass, found as dfiftweed at Newlyn Marina, Newlyn, Cornwall. 08.08.18.
According to my sources acrochaetioid algae cannot reliably be identified from images and apparently even with samples some cannot be reliably identified by experts. Images are placed here merely to illustrate examples of acrochaetioid algae.
