The Apricot, Prunus armeniaca, is not a true Sea Bean or seed, the fruit is eaten and the stone is disgarded. It could have been eaten on the beach, thrown off a ship, or been part of a load of rubbish discarded into the sea.

A stone was found on the high tide mark at Watergate Bay, Cornwall. 16.05.16.

The main objective of this website is in furthering environmental awareness and education through the medium of photography. To increase awareness and access to the wildlife of the region and help
people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
