This is a chiefly freshwater species with mostly a coastal distribution, the species is recorded on the Marine Species of the British Isles and Adjacent Seas (MSBIAS) list. The specimen here was found at Charlton.The shell is part of an old Victorian collection in a cabinet, stuck to a card, so is a bit dirty. Shell is part of the Turk Collection, a collection of molluscs and curios put together by the late Stella Turk MBE and currently curated by the author of this website. 03.05.20.
