The 25.2mm specimen above was collected by shrimp fishermen at a depth of 30-40m, north of Amuay Bay, Paraguana, Edo Falcon, Venezuela. Photographed in the authors collection. 28.03.16.

The species can also be found in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico.
