About thirty specimens were found on washing Dynamena pumila (hydroid) covered Saw Wrack, Fucus serratus, at the base of Brunel railway bridge, Ashtorre Rock, Saltash, Cornwall. 29.05.22.

The specimen above was found in a sediment sample that was scraped from a car tyre being used as a fender on a pontoon in Saltash, Cornwall. 04.07.22.

The Plymouth Marine Fauna, third edition of 1957, states that this species is an American species that first appeared at Plymouth in the summer of 1929 and was found abundantly on Laminaria covered with the hydroid Obelia.
