Thalassema thalassemum (Pallas, 1766) is the accepted name for this species, which was once commonly accepted as Thalassema neptuni Gaertner, 1774, and has been labelled here as such before.

Images of species taken at various places across the south coast of Cornwall. Species usually found under stones or in soft rocks on the lowershore. Primary image taken of worm burrowing through degraded Mylor slate at Long Rock, near Penzance, Cornwall. 22.03.11 and 29.09.11; also at Wherry Rocks, Penzance, Cornwall, 16.11.12.
