Numerous specimens of this non-native species were found under a submerged rock at low tide in Carnsew Pool, Hayle, Cornwall. 15.09.11. The species was re-found, identified and confirmed 30.08.16.

Typical fauna under the submerged rocks in Carnsew Pool includes the following species, Didemnum maculosum, Ascidiella aspersa, Corella eumyota, Botrylloides leachii, Botryllus schlosseri, Cereus pedunculatus, Sagartia troglodytes, Sagartiogeton undatus and Chlamys varia.
