Specimen above is approx. 200um (0.2mm) diameter, and was found in debris knocked off a crab pot that appeared to have been in the water for some time, being recently caught in a trawl and brought to shore. Newlyn Marina, Newlyn, Cornwall. 29.08.15. Specimen found in stored material and photographed 11.09.15.

Specimen above is approx. 0.2mm in diameter, and was found on saponifying and washing the matted sponge covered bases of the hydroid Nemertesia ramosa, which was brough ashore as accidental debris, found in a box of Gurnard at Newlyn Fish Market, Newlyn, Cornwall, 23.01.17.
