Species found on seaweed, Laminaria, on the side of a pontoon at Newlyn Marina, Newlyn, Cornwall. 01.12.14.

Specimen here, which is approx. 15mm dia., has been preserved and will be dissected by an expert to confirm its identity. I have been informed that it is most likely to be Molgula socialis based on geographic location and records of the species. Molgula can be difficult to determine to species level in the field and from images, unless images show internal diagnostic characteristics.
