Specimen was found by T. Tucker on a small plastic fishing float that had washed-ashore at Praa Sands, near Helston, Cornwall. 10.03.2001. On the float was numerous Desmophyllum dianthus (Esper, 1794), Cockscomb cup coral and a number of Neopycnodonte cochlear (Poli, 1795), Deepsea oysters.

All fauna on the buoy was kindly identified by Helmut Zibrowius.
