The species was found on the lowershore, under a rock, and typically within a clutch of Goby eggs on which it feeds. The animal was a juvenile of the species and just 4-5mm in length. Images of species taken at Hayle, Cornwall. 14.03.13.

The species was confirmed by Gonçalo Calado who authored the species. He said this was perhaps the nothernmost confirmed record of the species. I am very grateful for his help with the identification.

More information about this unusual species can be found on the Sea Slug Forum.

The main objective of this website is in furthering environmental awareness and education through the medium of photography. To increase awareness and access to the wildlife of the region and help
people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
