Unlike Rubramoena sp. "Newlyn Fenwick A" this specimen has not yet been sequenced. The specimen, a juvenile, has been placed here because of the differences compared with with Rubramoena sp. "Newlyn Fenwick A", especially because it lacks the strong white stripe that runs between its oral tentacles and rhinophores. However it is possible that this could be an atypical form of it or has not fully developed its characteristics.

The juvenile specimen above was found on collecting fouling with a net from a pontoon at Newlyn Marina, Newlyn, Cornwall, 15.08.20.

APHOTOMARINE supports open source data recording and sharing for the benefit of wildlife, recorders, research, science and education. The project recommends the following websites and works with the following bodies and organisations.

The main objective of this website is in furthering environmental awareness and education through the medium of photography. To increase awareness and access to the wildlife of the region and help
people find and identify it. Sometimes the difference between species is obvious but many species can only be determined by observing microscopic characteristics that are specific to any one species.
